David Ricca
Founder & CEO
David has a rich and diverse career in sports, finance, business, and philanthropy. He comes from a soccer playing family and started playing and training at the age of four. He excelled as a high school player, leading his team to a State Championship and a 3rd National Ranking in 1994. He earned a full scholarship to play for The College of Saint Joseph, where he continued to shine on the field.
After his college years, David pursued a professional and semi-professional soccer career, playing for various teams & leagues. He later transitioned to coaching, training, and scouting roles, sharing his expertise and experience with schools & academies.
David also has an extensive background in finance and business, as well as Business Development. He worked at Morgan Stanley and Smith Barney, specializing in International Wealth Management, with a focus on South America & Europe, as well as Business Development Manager at CBS, covering the top radio markets. He’s currently the Founder & CEO of Vamos Venture Partners, as well as the Growth Advisor for Street Soccer USA and Sports Analytics startups, such as Kin Analytics.
One of David’s biggest highlights was being on the media team for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in Cape Town, South Africa. During his time there, giving out soccer balls to underserved children, he decided to continue his charitable efforts by establishing Just Live Soccer, an organization that provides underserved children with soccer programs and initiatives.
David was also an American liaison for Major League Soccer (MLS) and Soccer United Marketing (SUM) to any Latin American international soccer team that played in the United States.
As a 9/11 survivor, he regularly speaks to various audiences about his evacuation from Tower 2 after the attack, and how he has used soccer to help cope with the aftermath.
He is also an ambassador for the Forgotten Dogs Foundation and serves on the Advisory Council for GAIT Equine Assisted Services.
