Skip Gilbert is the CEO of US Youth Soccer, the largest, most influential youth sport association in the country. USYS has nearly 3-million registered players, coaches and referees affiliated through 54-member State Associations. They oversee the USYS National Championships, the President’s Cup, the National League and the Olympic Development Program (OPD), a primary pathway for elite players to Collegiate, Pro and National Team selection. Prior to USYS, Gilbert was the United States Anti-Doping Agency’s Managing Director of Operations, Marketing, and Development.

An experienced executive, Gilbert has served in leadership roles with a number of sports organizations over the course of his career, including Tournament Manager of tennis’ US Open, Chief Executive Officer of USA Triathlon, Chief Marketing Officer of USA Swimming, and the Vice President of Sales for US Soccer. During his time with these organizations, Gilbert spearheaded athlete-centric initiatives, led strategic planning efforts, and managed business operations across multiple discipline platforms.

A true team player and leader, Gilbert played soccer for the Tampa Bay Rowdies of the NASL, the US Olympic Development Team, and in England, Holland, and Hong Kong. He is a licensed soccer coach and was elected into the University of Vermont and the Lawrenceville School Athletic Hall of Fame. Gilbert lives in Lakewood Village, TX with his wife Jenifer while their three children reside in New York.
